Tony's New Toys

Tony Terrana from North Carolina recently purchased a whole mess of gear from STE including the Kapelmeister VTBP amp, the MercuReverb all tube reverb unit, the Masticator Upper Partial Octave Fuzz, and the Waning Gibbous Phaser, as well as some of our modified gear. Here are some of his very kind comments and, to the right, some videos he made featuring the equipment he purchased(The video with the reverb and phaser is my favorite).

"I played the Kapellmeister VTBP for about 20 minutes last night - aka 2am this morning. It was phenomenal - magical - beautifully musical - you are a true wizard - or a wizard of truth" and also this about the Kapelmeister "...you sold me probably the greatest amp I’ve ever played." Wow, I blushed when I read that.

"I’ve now had a couple of hours with all of this gear - loving it.   The only issue is that the MercuReverb seems a little noisy - but it’s just a little noisy - no worries - I love the MercuReverb - the FX loop is genius"

and "I received the Masticator Upper Partial Octave Fuzz - absolutely awesome."

Thanks Tony!

Gearmanndude reviews SoaringTortoise! The AA/G.A.S. fuzz is gonna need a new set of slicks after this review.

Fuzz Freq made this very cool video with a side by side comparison of an original Interfax Harmonic Percolator and the very first SoaringTortoise Expresso Machine. Check it out!

Zach Bitterman of Atlanta, GA who purchased the Solitaire tube amp and Art Deco Speaker cab had this to say about his acquisitions;

"Hey John,
I have been playing with the amp and cab for a couple of days now, and I love it! It is even more awesome than expected. I love the way the Jazzmaster sounds through the amp when coupled with the Jensen. I have also been running a synth through it with awesome results. I love the way it slathers everything with grit. I wasn't sure how usable this guy was going to be but I am happily surprised with the tone."    Dec.5, 2013

Here is a video Zach made with the Solitaire and Art Deco speaker cab. Nice chops and sweet Jazzmaster!

Effects upgrade and modification wizard Johnny Balmer of Alchemy Audio posted this Video of a tremolo unit he purchased from SoaringTortoise Electronics.

Happy Customer Matt from Missouri with his Cafe' Crema Fuzz and Valve Yeller Overdrive.
